Service was really good. Plenty of coffee pours. Pricey for the food we got. I know it's the area too but I wasn't impressed with the quality. The menu seemed really promising so that made it disappointing. I had corned beef hash and I think the meat was old since it smelled funny. I survived. Corn bread was not special. My friends Benedict was good though

Nice place, good food, but price keeps getting up.

Excellent service and food! Ordered the Aztec Huevos Ranchos (sans beans and tortilla) and they hit the spot!

The environment here is nice and relaxed. Very clean and sunny. The staff are welcoming and friendly. There's a parking lot across the street which is fantastic for the area. The food came out fairly fast. The taste delicious. Our waitress was nice and attentive but not overwhelming. This is a spot to check out and enjoy.

Everything I've ever gotten here has been delicious.

Nice modern place. Good food. Staff was very nice.

Nice breakfast place. Delicious pancake. Their veggie patty is lean patty and taste like meat.

Amazing food and coffee. The service was very quick and friendly. We were asked several times if we needed anything else which was really appreciated because I drink a lot of water and they gave us free to go coffee fill ups. Highly recommend!

I found this place solely on reviews from lovely people like you. Nice modern decor. It's big so we got seated quickly. The portions were big. The Joe's Scramble lacked a little seasoning. But I would try the place again.

Deaf friendly!! I enjoy the low key atmosphere, the delicious food and the friendly staff on a quiet street. Both times we have been here, we have had impeccable service from every person we encountered. None were timid to communicate with people who sign!

Meh food at best. Breakfast was okay tasting, but way overpriced. The French toast was good but overly sweet, and the portion size was just two slices. The potato pancakes were good yeah, but the cornbread had no flavor and was super dry, and the eggs were unremarkable. The orange juice was fantastic, but it was $6 for a small glass. All in all we will not be coming back.

An absolute must for those in Emeryville looking for Breakfast/Brunch. Great variety of options on the menu, and having tried 3 or 4 dishes now, don’t believe any will disappoint. Cozy setting dining in, and quick and easy take-out as well for those lazy mornings.

Great vibe! Fun place for a brunch. I had the corned beef hash, which was excellent. My wife had the crab cake Eggs Benedict, which was less than excellent. Their Irish coffee was great, as was their Bloody Mary with cucumber vodka. All in all, a wonderful first experience!

I enjoy brunch. I enjoy crab cakes and I especially enjoy mimosas. I ordered the California crab cakes and a pomegranate mimosa. The crab cake was very dry and crunchy the english muffin was burnt, not sure why the hollandaise was not poured over, but came on the side in a soup cup. However, the mimosa was very good and our server was friendly. Chef may have been tired or under the weather. Unfortunately I was not pleased and will not be returning.

Must stop to try!! We are about 20 min from San Francisco and had to find a place for breakfast and found this on Google maps. I'm glad we did, my plate is the last one of the pictures. It was sooooooooo good!! It is a little pricey but I think worth it. The coffee is also great and the flavored butter on top of the pancakes was a great addition.

A long line, and more food than one can eat in a single sitting, but attentive service, a fun atmosphere, and innovative departures from the standard fare make Doyle Street Cafe a place worth visiting. Just plan sufficient time, and take your parking karma with you!

Their Ultimate Benedict is so delicious, that will be my go-to from now on. My husband likes to get the huevos rancheros and French toast. My only qualm is that my matcha tea latte was insanely sweet that it just tasted like sugar water. Our server was so kind to try to get it adjusted but when he came back it was still too sweet. And undrinkable for $6 so that was disappointing. The ice tea they use is a pomegranate but they don't tell you that it's a fruit tea so make sure you ask. Drinks were a big fail but the food and service was really great. The wait time for a Saturday morning wasn't too bad, just about 15 minutes or so.

I cant believe I've never been here! I live a 5 minute drive away. This is very delicious brunch place. we got the Benedict, pancakes, and scrambled eggs and loved them all. The pancakes are especially great here. The servers are all super nice and there was ample street parking when we went

Super Clean. Beautiful layout. Fresh squeezed orange juice is absolutely delicious! Staff was friendly & professional. Food HELLA GOOD!. Bathrooms were clean. Beautiful off the beaten path restaurant.

Not bad but the pancakes are to thick and mushy. Thinner would be better because the flavor is good.

This cafe was really delicious and stylish. We had the lemon pancakes (special of the day) which were yummy! The smoked salmon scrambler was awesome! Great potatoes and sweet cornbread. Coffee was also nice. Waitress was sweet and had good recommendations.

Best breakfast place we've been to. My husband and me kept going back.

Lovely hidden gem in Emeryville. Great daily specials, newly remodeled. One suggestion is for the grilled chicken to be more tender and juicy. It's been over a decade since my last visit prior to a couple of weeks ago. Very nice to see that there is a good crowd at lunch.

Food you don't find everywhere else. Stuffed French Toast. Jalapeno pulled pork heuvos rancheros (Aztec). Also the usuals, like Joe's scramble. On weekends there's often a wait but it's usually not too bad. Call first.

Great place to eat. First time here and we'll definitely come back next time we are in San Francisco. Very friendly staff, food was excellent and fresh. They have their own parking lot which is a plus in San Francisco. Wait was only 15 minutes.

Came here for a team lunch and had a great time. Watch out for the portions, they're big!

The wait was shorter than expected and the food came out fast. The fresh squeezed oj tasted really good. We had the DelMar Crepes, Marscapone stuffed French Toast, and the Huevos Rancheros Azteca. It was all delicious but I truly enjoyed the Huevos Ranchero Azteca, it had pulled pork on it and I have never had pulled pork with eggs before. The service was fast and friendly, the place stayed busy the whole time we were there and it was an allover fantastic experience. I highly recommend this place, but it is a little pricey for breakfast. Enjoy!

I got the California eggs benedict and it has crab and avocado. It's ridiculously delicious and their hollandaise is fantastic. The buttermilk pancakes are also great... you can even add blueberries or bananas (or both)!

This is the best place I have eaten at during my time in Emeryville. They are good portions, my food came quite quickly and they are very nice people here. I would strongly recommend going here.

Solid breakfast options (omelettes, pancakes) with pleasant ambience and spacious seating. Excellent service. Excellent coffee.

I eat here moderately often since it's very close to home. They remember me and everyone is friendly. Service varies depending on how busy they are, which is not unusual. The food is good tho a bit expensive. There's a nice variety of breakfast dishes, a bit less range for lunch - mostly sandwiches. The orange juice is from oranges they squeeze themselves, which I like, altho that ups the price. They have a decent range of Benedicts. My favorite dish is their jambalaya. It's a special, so not every day. I don't know if it's true to New Orleans, but it is very tasty and well spiced. And they have their own parking lot.

Food was good and service was quick. My boyfriend ordered the French toast breakfast combo and I had the tuna melt. Both were pretty tasty, but my boyfriend said the French toast was too gooey. I tried a bite and would definitely have to agree, it tasted like the French toast was soaked for too long in the egg wash. The owner had seated us and helped out our table a few times. One major thing my boyfriend and I both noticed was the owner would never directly look at my boyfriend as he spoke to him. I had taken note of this and would watch his interactions with the rest of the tables. With every other table, his demeanor was friendly and inviting, but with us, it was quick and short. Now my boyfriend is African-American so I'd hate to think that this is the reason why he was acting this way, but as I watched how he was with other guests, I can't help to think that this may have been the reason.

Doyle Street Cafe was pretty darn good. I was astonished at the price of coffee, but the overall atmosphere, food selection, and portion size was on point. I had corned beef hash and my wife had crab cake Benedict and we both enjoyed our meals. Will probably be back if I'm ever in the area again.

So we got a to-go order and there were a couple of issues. The Homefries Heaven lacked salt/seasoning and the potatoes were inconsistently cooked. Some were on the raw side and some slightly burned. They also forgot to pack part of our order (the eggs). When we turned around and returned (about 15 minutes later) they had them waiting on the counter. They were apologetic and offered a free drink, but they handed over the now cold eggs. Imo they should have redone the eggs rather than give a free drink. On the plus side the pancakes were tasty and a great consistency. Those we'd go back for.

Very average breakfast place. Nothing special about this place. Don’t understand the high ratings. Although it was a really ordinary place, the price wasn’t ordinary. The same breakfast that you can get at any dinner for $10, is being served $15 or more. I personally won’t go back. Nothing bad or good about this place. Just average.

Great breakfast spot that's almost untouchable on the weekends was completely empty on a weekday. Lots good choices for breakfast including omlettes, and poached options as well as some in house specials. Service is friendly and fast. Personally enjoyed all the photos around the place showing involvement in the community.

Smoked salmon benedict and huevos rancheros chilie verdes were both fantastic. The service from the wait staff was also exceptional. Loved it!

A great place to grab delicious breakfast food. The wait might be a little long to be seated, but service is fast and immaculate. If you're in Emeryville this is a must for breakfast.

Great food and excellent service. I got the Azetca and my sweetie got the French toast. Also, the OJ is worth every penny.
